Take a look at this little beauty… It’s the new Phillips Ultra-wide screen TV. It’s aspect ratio is 21:9 rather than the now standard 16:9.
Here is a TV that gives you cinema-scope viewing area. This should mean no more black bars at the top an bottom of your screen.
It’s not out yet. But let’s see if it lives up to what it looks like it is going to offer.
Named after a woman Katie used to work with, The Ting Tings are another band on my playlist at the moment. Such a simple and effective sound - and homegrown too! They played Glastonbury in 2007 on the ‘Introducing Stage’, and now playing everywhere across America. Watch out for more great pop songs.
This is Great DJ - Again simple video (on the surface anyway) - but it works a treat.
THR ROYAL TENENBAUMS - I saw this film today after an age of reading reviews and hearing about it. OMG, it is stunning, a land of sweetness and a glimpse back at childhood. Alongside RUSHMORE it now sits in my top ten films I am glad to have experienced- I say experienced because you don’t just watch this film you become part of it.
Wes Anderson, clearly an isnpiration to the likes of NAPOLEON DYNAMITE and NACHO LIBRE it delivers in terms of viual uniqueness and delightful musical asides.
In essence, watch the thing! You’ll love it if you get it.
